Please, help!
2024.04.08.

Help us! We have 6 days to pay 535.000ft!
Our dog Bugaci Cider, who escaped from the infamous Bugaci bull breeding farm, almost died on Friday. He died 2x to be exact, but doctors managed to revive him. 🙏

The whole tragedy started on Friday afternoon when we noticed Cider was breathing heavily. She had been coughing a little after eating the day before, but as they came, her symptoms went away. On Friday, however, she literally started choking. She was gasping for breath and getting worse by the moment. We immediately rushed her to our vet.
We immediately started to stabilize her condition and find out what was wrong. It quickly became apparent that the problem was in the area around her larynx, which they routinely cannot operate on. However, immediate surgery was essential to save her life. Of course, what could be easier than getting a doctor for a special operation on a Friday afternoon... but we finally got help fast.
Cider and I rushed straight over, our own vet accompanying us on the way to make sure nothing went wrong, because by then she was literally in a life-threatening condition.

Further investigations at the clinic revealed that the suffocation had caused her to swallow so much air that she had developed a complication of gastric torsion. She collapsed twice, but was resuscitated and taken to the operating theatre. During a lengthy operation they repaired and fixed her twisted stomach and found that the problem was caused by a tumour on one of her vocal cords, which was removed.
When she was taken into surgery there was less than a slim chance of her coming out alive. But that voice in my head again? In my heart? in my soul? That had helped me make the decision so many times to try, to give her a chance, to see if... and Cider survived the surgery, survived her first critical night and is now happy to say she is doing well.
She is now back under the care of our own vets.
The veterinary practice that performed the extra urgent, complex life-saving surgery is not under contract with the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation, so unfortunately we did not receive a discount. As you can see, Cider's life-saving surgery cost 535.500Ft. Each of you can decide for yourself if this is too much for a LIFE. We are very happy that the surgery was a success, Cider is doing well, she is a real fighter and is clinging to LIFE like a buffalo.

However, we have to pay the bill in 6 days and that is a huge extra expense now. We really need your help!

Thank you if you can help with her vet costs 🙏
