Bözsi's leg is broken in several places 💔 She had an unfortunate accident, her leg got stuck between the bars of a bench at her foster home.
Erzsike came into the care of the Noah Animal Shelter Foundation 1.5 years ago. Already an elderly dog, she arrived with her babies, who were still suckling, and she raised them in an exemplary manner. It was one thing for her to give birth and raise puppies in her retirement, but she was infected with heartworm and could only use one of her front legs as a crutch because her elbow was grossly arthorticated due to a previous pathological fracture. Well the metatarsals of this "crutch" were fractured. 😢 But this crutch is a huge need for the old girl, so she has to have surgery. The surgery will take place on Friday, and the plan is to fix the broken bones with a bone spur. 🤞 She really, really needs the push, because of her age, the heartworm and the multi-component, long bone surgery itself. 🤞
The surgery itself is expected to be 110-120,000Ft + mandatory associated costs, such as a full blood lab, which we have already gone through and based on which we can operate on the old girl.
