Little Kukker came from the city pound of Budapest called the Illatos út. Her fur was like a shield around her body because of neglect and her eyes were rotting. Underneath the fur her skin was red and full of wounds. It is unimaginable what she had to go through in the last couple of months. We immediately took her to the Délpesti Állatgyógyászati Központ és Sebészeti Centrum Clinic where she received the treatment that she needed. It looks like (pun intended) that due to the treatment that she received she sees with her right eye and it even produces tears. Her eyelids are very damaged due to the rotting and that means that her eyesight can't be saved in the long run. Our vets are not the kind to give up easily so Dr. Beáta Orbán and our eye specialist dr. Zselyke Szentpéteri decided to "make" her an eyelid. The surgery will take place in a week or two and until then there is a protocol that we need to follow. OF course she doesn't understand why she needs drops and creams in her eyes and not to mention the wipes but it is for her own good. We will keep you updated on her condition after the surgery.
