Melissa and her successful surgery!

As we thought the heartworms took over the body of Melissa. She had fluid in her abdominal cavity which was caused by the the worms. Her only chance was surgery. We were very greatful for dr. Dalma who examined her and decided right away that she will operate on her the same day. They were ready to fight for her and we are forever greatful. ❤️🙏❤️🙏

She survived the procedure. She had breakfast the next day and she rests now. We will take her today to the Délpest Állatgyógyászati Központ és Sebészeti Centrum where her medication therapy will start.
Thank you for all your help and for your prayers. Please, keep your fingers crossed for her that with the medication she will get better soon.

Don't forget, the heart worm disease is no joke. Protect your dogs against them.
