Gurtnika needs a FOSTER HOME!

She came into our care a couple of days ago in terrible condition. She was left behind when the owner sold his house and left her in the garden for the new owner. The new owner couldn’t take care of her and they asked for our help.

HISTORY!

We took her immediately to the Délpest Animal Center and Clinic where she was examined and it turns out that Gurtnika is diabetic. She is still at the clinic and she will stay there for a while because her blood glucose needs to be adjusted with the right amount of insulin. Unfortunately the disease effected her eyes as well. She has cataract on them. She doen’t really want to eat so we are very worried about her. We trust in our miracle worker Dr. Boda and his miraculous team! We know that she is in the best of hands and we are keeping our fingers crossed for her! One thing is for sure that when she comes out we will need to look for a foster home for her because her disease is not managable in a shelter since she needs to get her insulin on specific times and needs to be fed on certain times. So we are looking for a FOSTER PARENT for her!
Diabetes is just as dangerous for dog sas for humans but it can be maintained well.

Keep your fingers crossed for her and pray that her condition will get better!
