We received a call for help from Lajosmizse, where an elderly farmer had died and a mother dog with 6 puppies was left without care. A neighbour came over to feed them, but a permanent solution was needed.

Our Lajosmizse mum is still young, a large mixed-breed bitch born around 2022 who has been protecting and raising her cubs like a real mother lion. However, now her cubs have grown up to be rehomed, so our mum is also looking for a forever home.

Our mum is not an easy case, she is very shy, over several months we have got to the point where she accepts treats from our hands. She also has health problems, her right eye is badly damaged and will probably have to be removed in the future and she tested positive for heartworm. It's nice to win from here, but we know she will recover and hopefully there will be an angel who will take her in and she can finally live in love and as part of a family.
