Lucky Strike is a tricolor, big bernese shepherd male born in 2020, who came into our care with the help of the animal welfare workers of the Chance Animal Protection Association.

Lucky still needs to learn a lot of things. He is not a cuddly dog for now, but his neglect is a true reflection of how much he has been cared for. His fur is matted, but his coat is the least of his problems, but unfortunately his heartworm test came back positive and one of his eyes is very likely to be unsalvageable. He will need an eye examination and a cardiac ultrasound soon.

He is a mobile dog, but as we know Bernese shepherds are very smart and teachable, so all is not lost, the new owner can teach him everything. Being in the shelter has taken its toll on his soul, but we hope someone will come along quickly to see him as a new member of his family. On first introduction to other dogs he was very positive. We welcome applications from owners who are especially knowledgeable about the breed.

He is vaccinated, chipped, neutered and will only be adopted as a full family member!
