There's a lot of talk about crows these days, these intelligent, clever, wonderful animals.
We were asked to help a young crow. We don't know exactly what happened to him, but he's in a lot of trouble. Pancser 💙 has a broken leg and and a broken wing on the opposite side, and a very suspicious shadowing pattern can be seen in the abdomen.
He was examined and x-rayed by Dr. Tamás Jandó at the Southbudavet Veterinary Clinic. It is now certain that he will not be able to fly, so if we manage to raise him, he will live here at the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation.
Let's hope that the formula that gives the shadow in the stomach is a seed and not an air rifle pellet. As per the doctor's instructions, we will now give him a few days of painkillers and force-feeding to strengthen him so that he can eat on his own.
He is the first rescued crow we have taken into our care since the bird flu tragedy, and we hope that Pancser will be the first new arrival in our big bird flight.
