Nyikhaj came from Füzesabony and as you can see on the pictures he needed help asap. Probably a chain or a wire caused this wound on his neck. We immediately took him to the Délpesti Állatgyógyászati Központ és Sebészeti Centrumba Clinic where his treatment has started right away. In a "normal" case we would write that we are hoping that he will a quick and complication free recovery but we already know that we have a complication and that is that poor Nyikhaj has tetanus. Tetanus is caused by a bacteria called Clostridium tetani. The toxins of the bacteria damages the nerves and the muscles. These problems can cause breathing problems and vascular lesion which can lead to death.

His therapy has started and he is in a dark, quiet and in a calm kennel. He already started showing symptoms on his head but we are hoping that we caught in time. We have experience with this disease. If you remember Jankó he had the same thing and he healed and already found his forever home. We are hopeful that he will heal too and he will also find his forever home with a family!
