Laguna’s dirofilaria immitis treatment act 3!

Our wonderful malamut Laguna who has been under treatment against heartworms has received his 2nd and 3rd Immiticide injection. As we told you before this treatment is risky and painfull so he received it in anesthesia.

His first injection was 1 month ago and he has been in „box captivity”. He is only allowed to go for very short constitutional walks. Everything is going as planned and although he is full of energy he is taking everything like a champ.
The arsenic injection kills the worms in the artery and the movement restrection is necessary so the dead worms will not drift into the heart and won’t cause blockage which could be fatal.
He will have to stay in the box for another month and we are hoping that everything wil run smoothly.

It is hard to describe how sweet, patient and cooperative Laguna is. He is a great dog! He deserves the victory!

Please, support his recovery. His treatment will be around 150000 forint (about 500 euros).

As you know we have 3 other dogs who are under treatment as well. White will have the arsenic treatment. Szemcsi and Fanny will have the removal surgery by catheter.
