Szamóca and Muki the donkeys came to our shelter 3 years under sad circumstances. Our visitors can’t meet them because they are declared to be dangerous animals.

Them mare has a severe eye and skin infection and she has to wear an eye patch. We love her but lets admit she looks funny in them. Muki is of course with her and they are never far apart from another. Szamóca’s eye is healing nicely and the vet will come next week and take a look at it again.

The charges against the donkeys are very serious but the longer we know them the harder for us to beleive the accusations. Szamóca is shy although she wants contact with humans but she still keeps her distance. Muki can be loud and act like a smartass but he never hurt anyone at the shelter. They integrated into the donkey herd without any problems and they live in peace with Ottó, Koksz and Amálka.
