Worrying about Fency!

Our little baby Fency is very sick, most likely she has parvo and her bowels stopped functioning. It all started that she threw up. If an unvaccinated puppy throws up we get nervous. We monitored her all day but it looked like it was a onetime thing. Then next morning she didn’t want to eat, she threw up and had blood in her feces. We took her to the vet immediately and she received treatment, infusion and medication against the parvo disease. We have very strict rules for the quarantine kennels in order to protect the dogs there. The parvo disease spreads very fast and in case of puppies it is highly deadly.

Unfortunately Fency’s state didn’t improve so we took her to the vet again. We thought that because she didn’t have diarrhea for a day that it is a good sign but it was a sign for bigger problems. Fency’s bowels stopped functioning.
Thanks to Dr. Erika Milei we are hoping that the problem was discovered in time. She is at the clinic now under observation and if her bowels won’t start working again then she has to have surgery and the vet has to try to start them with her hands. It would be a huge operation for such a small and weak puppy. We are hoping for the best so please angels keep your fingers crossed for our sweet little protégé.
