Magnusz's big surgery!

Angels! Keep your fingers crossed for our Magnusz. He is the blind Pekinese who was found in our district (Budapest, 17th) and was taken to city pound first and then came to us.

At first sight it was obvious that he wasn’t simply blind but something is very wrong with his eyes. He is bug-eyed and they looked bloodshot. We immediately thought that he has glaucoma and unfortunately the eye specialist confirmed it. His eyes started to unravel, his crystalline lenses have moved and started to disappear. That means he is totally blind plus the pressure in his eyes are great and they are very painful. The only solution is to remove them surgically. One eye removal is a big surgery and the vet has to remove both!

In the midst of all this he has other health issues. There is something wrong with his spine. His neurological examination has to be postponed until he recovers from the eye surgery. Magnusz is a very friendly, sweet and cuddly Pekinese dog. We are hoping he will recover quickly!
