Dog Log 14.01-17.02.2013
2013.02.21.
After a while we are back again with the Webdiary. We have an excuse: we had a lot to do. I try to summarize what has happened with us in the last few weeks. I hope we were successful. As it always happening there were some good and bad things. We got some new dogs and some others went to new hosts.
Mandarin arrived to our place at 23 January. After dark she was walking on the road between Isaszeg and Pécel. As her color is black it was hard to realize her. She was lucky that a car could avoid her. She had neighter a chip nor any other identification sign. Her original hosts haven’t turn up yet so she is seeking for a new home!
The Police department from the 17th district asked our help to place Szulejmán and Balázs. They were walking in Forrásmajor Street without any aim. They were frightening people with their size. They had neighter a chip nor any other identification sign. Their original hosts haven’t turn up yet so they are seeking for a new home!
Balázs is a 10 –year old white Puli male.
Szulejmán is an 8 –year old Rottweiler male.
And this is not end of the list. Havas is a 3-year-old tricolor, long-haired bernese Mountain Dog mix. He was found in Isaszeg on 30. January. He had neighter a chip nor any other identification sign. Next day he was missing from the Pet home. His founders took him to the shelter in Illatos Street. We took him back to our place next day. It turned out that he likes escaping extremely, but on the other hand he is a really cute dog, who likes to give a five to you!
Csuli is a year-old daschound like red haired male who was left in front of the Pet home on 2. February 2013. Since we don’t know who left him here we are searching for his original host. As he hasn’t appeared, Csuli and the others are seeking for a new home.
Némber is around 4 years old. She is a braided haired Puli whose original host died and she was left alone on a farm.
Navigátor is a 5 –year old Puli like male who was found in the forest near Csévharaszt. He had neighter a chip nor any other identification sign. We haven’t found his original host so he is seeking for a new home. He is chipped and spayed and vaccinated now.
Uncle Pista is a huge, striped, grizzle cheeked male who was found in Agyagdűlő Street in the 17th district. He was walking there for at least four days. Some dog lover gave food for him and they also made a safe and warm place to sleep in these cold nights. Uncle Pista is at least 10 years old. He is as cute as large. He is crying loudly if people go away. He lures everybody with a wagging tail. He shows with swinging front legs that he wants to give you a five. He is waiting for petting with closed eyes. His original host hasn’t turn up so he is seeking for a new home.
We have also a dog, who came back to our place: she is Csengő. She was living with us since she a puppy was. She was a protégée of our spokesperson, Kincy.
She was adopted when she was 6 months old, but she came back to us because she had stress when she was separated. That time she was destroying the furniture and she was singing so loud that the neighbours couldn’t stand it. Earlier she was going to dogschool every week where she had extremely good results. She was also working as a therapeutic dog. Csengő was the favourite of every young and old. She had a good relation with every living creature. She loves other dogs, cats, horses and every other organism. We are searching for a new host who can spend much time at home or can bring her to the working place!
For those who know much about our activity it’s not new that we can’t refuse any dog. It is because they have the need for our help. This is the way how the next three dogs have arrived to us.
Kaláka is an 11 –year old mixed beautiful black female. We don’t know what happened with her, but her hock joints were broken. Her former host didn’t do anything just watched how hard was to move for the old lady. Since she hasn’t recovered alone, the host asked for the help of the hunters to help this life to be ended as soon as possible and as cheap as it can be. His conscience hadn’t called him to tell that this is a creature which was helping him for more than a decade. She has served him, she was guarding his home, was always happy and would give her life for everything. Fortunately the story took a positive turn here. For the hunter it was enough to have a look at the eyes of Kaláka and the way the dog gave him a five. He didn’t have the heart to hurt the dog. He has asked for the help of Szomorú Szív Állatmentő Szolgálat in Gyömrő (the shelter in Gyömrő). So the old lady was lucky and with the help of the shelter she came to NOÉ Pet home.
After fascinating everybody by the vet it has turned out that her problem is big. One is more than enough from this kind of braking at this age but she has two. It’s not easy to deny that Kaláka is a bit overweighted. And the other fact is it’s usually better to cure a new brake than an old and deformed one. The operation is much more complicated, the recovery is longer and the rehabilitation is much more expensive. Nevertheless we started to cure her after the examination, consultation and the lab tests.
The new life of Kaláka ha started. We hope that she can join NOÉ Pet home as soon as possible. Despite of her age she is extremely strong and she wants to recover. A few days after the operations she can walk with help and she gives us as much fives as she can!
Her recovery won’t be fast. Her hind legs are still in splints and it will going on for a long time. Later on aqupuncture and physicotherapy is waiting for her. Knowing her good there won’t be any problem with this. After her recovery you can adopt her chipped, spayed and vaccinated! There is sure to be an Angel who would love her brown eyes.
After the operation:
This is the story of Muhar, the blind dog with testicle cancer. It started with a post on Facebook where he needed help. He was found in Szolnok in a bad condition and it was thought that he is blind. Muhar is a small, chocholate brown dog, who was scared. He is now in hospital (thanks for the Délpesti Állatgyógyászati Központ-and not just this). He is examined and the removal of his testicle tumor. After this his eyes are going to be examined to see if we can help him.
Our third injured is this beautifull Rottweiler female, Linda. The Szomorú Szív Állatmentő Szolgálat has found her in Valkó during patrolling. They found her on a short chain vegetating in a strange position. As she was found the first reaction was a strong odor, the scent of the rotting meat. She didn’t have a collar, just a rolling-strap (made of plastic) which scoured her neck and was overrun. The injury has ulcerated and got infected. It was not enough problem, that it was cold in the snow and in the mud, but she couldn’t even move. With every movement she was hurt and the plastic has irritated the wound. Thanks for the Pet Rescue Group they immediately helped her, and they took her away because nobody said the was their. This is the way she came to NOÉ Pet home. After the operation her rehabilitation has started. As the belly of the dog with only bones and skin was growing fast she was spayed immediately. It is horrible to imagine what would happen if Linda gave birth for puppies in this condition. Now Linda has to concentrate only to live. Despite of this Linda is kind, beautiful and a cuddly dog. We hope that she recovers soon and have a happy life by a good host!
Unfortunately statistics are not good at adoptation. Only puppies went to new homes.
Panel babies can sleep at a new host now.
Lotta “was left” in front of a volunteers door in a paper box. After spending a few days by a temporary host she was adopted. Thanks Juli for your help with the black devil!
Molly was found in the 4th district in December. Since then she was living by a temporary host who couldn’t resist and adopted her. Congratulations Andi for this! We hope your parents wouldn’t throw you out with this fairy but noxious dog. :-D
Every member of Family Béla (Pörc, Pöröly, Paraj and Paszuly), Family Veres (Okoska and Dolly) and Pinokkió were adopted.
There were some lucky ones among adult dogs as well.
Hiszti was living by temporary hosts and they really loved him, so he was adopted by them.
Cédrus was living by a temporary host for such a long time, but now a lady from Buda came for her. Thanks Kriszta, the temporary host, for your care and love!
Semperit also became a happy dog by a new host.

Spárga, the puli whose leg was hurt
In January Tojás (Egg) and Tanker came to our place. A few weeks before they were walking on the street near the Pet home (it is possible that they were left here). One of our volunteers (thanks Attila!) could grab them. We can say that it was on time, because during the spaying it has turned out that they were already pregnant.
Unfortunately death couldn’t avoid us!
Kótyag, the mixed Pinscher from the 16th district left us. We haven’t found his original host so we couldn’t find out why he was waiting in front of the staircase shivering in the cold in the middle of winter. Sorry for you, old man. Rest in peace!
Uncle Moha came to our place in a really bad condition, almost blind. He was found in the 17th district. We haven’t found his original host. Unfortunately he was so old and weak. He hasn’t got any appetite, he didn’t drink alone. He needed the help from the doctors all the time. His blood circulation has stopped, and he has moved over the Rainbow!
Rest in peace, dear old friend!
And here comes the best part of our web diary: news from our earlier adopted protégées. It is a huge joy and a really great feeling to get news and photos about them. So please don’t hesitate to send photos and news to info@noeallatotthon.hu .
An opinion among many other: “I can really accept that you take care of healthy pets because there is a chance to get somebody to adopt them. But what is the reason to help ill, blind, tumored, paralyzed etc. animals? Why should you struggle for them if they won’t be able to get them adopted? Why don’t you help them to suffer less? I think this because ill dogs won’t have a full life. You can say this but everybody knows that this is not true. I didn’t want anything bad for you. It was just a remark. I wish you success and persistence for the future!”
This is a paralyzed, unwarrantable and not adoptable dog: Füstös (Smokey) is healthy, saved and adopted. :-D :-D :-D

“She became beautiful. She is spoiled and I should always tell to my grandma that it’s not good for her to have anything in it’s mouth all the time. Despite of this, sometimes she becomes like a barrel. Now it’s a borderline.” We think she is beautiful- the editor. :-D
We got Christmas wishes from the rabbit Clarance:
So don’t hesitate to send us some photos!
Thanks!
There is a photo contest connected to the carnival:
Would you like to spend a long weekend in Cserkeszőlő with your family, friends and your pet? Or do you think you haven’t got the best photo about your pet? Would you like to organize a day for your dog or cat by the groomer? There’s nothing to do, just get your pet dressed up for the carnival and take a photo of it, then send it to us!
You should know that we need your help for saving animals. Without Your help we wouldn’t be able to help Füstös to stand up, or the Rottweiler, Linda wouldn’t be healed. And there is a long list about other pets you helped. Without your collaboration and donations this wouldn’t have happened. You are a part of every miracle you are reading about!
You can be a volunteer, a temporary host, a visitor who walks with the dogs on Saturday or you can donate us food or money. The pets need every helping hand!
Please donate for healing, get our pets operated to help more vulnerable. You know it’s up to you!
