Dog Log 29.10-11.11.2012
2012.11.15.

Fighting with the never ending delays of the DogLog, we decided to publish a two-week edition. Luckily in and out traffic was very active, we built a stable and cured our lama, because Debi is sick again. But let’s also talk about something really good: we got lots of good news about the adopted puppies.
Let’see our adopted dogs:

Adopted dogs:
Arpa already checked in a couple of days after being adopted – it seems he does not miss us at all 

It also seems that this is a Beagle-period: people adopting Bankó decided that one Beagle is not Beagle, so they adopted Bankó to be the best pal of their dog. We hope they at least keep the house together.

Pocsi, we thought, was for a long time one of the black puppies without any chance to ever get out up until now: a family looking for a dog to their garden and as soon as they laid eyes on Pocsi they rethought the whole concept and immediately began to talk about a couch potato Pocsi After a long walk there was already perfect harmony between owner and dog so they decided to take the lovely puppy.

Téesz Arató, a recently returned dog (by his former owner) is also a very lucky dog. Also being a black do, we did not even dare to dream about him being adopted so rapidly. But fortunately he has a new owner by now!

Though the smile of Boda Bill is not entirely honest – he is scared, to say the least – we hope that he will learn to relax soon with his new family.

Our new arrival is Pempő the 2 months old mix colour and breed boy, who was collected near the crowded Némedi road.

Reál was adopted as a really tiny puppy but was returned because he was claimed to be naughty and nasty in spite of the dog school training. Now he is, obviously a bit confused, but still a very cute and kind dog.

And to have a counterpoint for an example – read the happy story of Renike’s first year with her new family.

Renike's 365 days.

The fox rescue team received an injured fox found caught up in a fence. Luckily her injuries are not serious and will get better soon.

Peru, one of our lamas got really sick for one morning and this became even more obvious when he did not even want to draw away from us, moreover, he even nestled to us, though he never did this. He was cooling out and had diarrhea – knowing that there is no dedicated coverlet for lamas available, we created a blanket out of our own coverlets.

and then came temperature checking while the doctor arrived.

Luckily the prescribed medicine had its effect – Peru got better by the next day and since then he has fully recovered to enjoy the ever lasting spitting contests with George, the other lama. Will they ever get bored of this?

Debi always makes sure we are not bored: now there is an abscess on one of her right front hoof. She received medicine for 5 days so she won almost a week’s relaxation in the stable box (we are suspicious she is doing this on purpose). Carmen was so sad as we took her best friend so she injured herself too for the next day, but she did not reach the wished effects as her wound did not qualify her for getting to the stable box – we do really wish for an uneventful month when nothing, but literally nothing is happening to any of these horses.

On Saturday the backyard of the shelter was loud of construction noises because we began to prepare the so far just temporarily covered depot on the horses’ pasture, so it got this beautiful permanent roof.

Of course our best handyman, Misi could not miss this time either:

And here are some pics and a short update on one of the adopted and fixed puppies: “Kalácska became a really happy dog, she fully recovered from the childhood shock and she clings to us so much that she comes with us everywhere. She gives us tons of love just as we do.”

Castor és Pollux

“We adopted Mandy from the shelter a year ago. We are sending the documents about her neutering and her shots. The last year was full of fun and many programs: she literally chewed everything . Please take these pictures as our compliment to your devoted and unmatched work. We wish a lot of energy and power for it.
Regards: Nagyné Szabó Andrea and Timea

“Bontós Balu, who we adopted during Easter is sending his best regards. He is really-really well, eats and sleeps and of course plays a lot – so, in one word enjoys life. His motto: what you can do today do not delay it for tomorrow.”

Zalka Zola

Ecset

Mafla Mozi

Martin, the little half-eared dog is not that tiny any more. The lack of his left ear is compensated with a huge locator on the right:

One has fun this way others seek joy in other ways! Our fun is going to be like this the coming Thursday evening: come and party for the animals! Certificates are available with the volunteers! 

If you also consider the lives of our little animals’ life important, then here is the chance to help those who do not have a loving family yet. Come and have fun with the animals!
