Unfortunately many dogs arrived this week but the Pet home is still full. Soon we will have no idea where to put these dogs. The department for sick animals works with 150%. Our vets are also working hard with a huge amount of dogs. Our kennels are overcrowded. The homes of our volunteers are also full. Some of them have 10-15 dogs now. And the cold weather is just coming…

Mecsek was taken here at the end of the aid concert. He was found on 16. September 2012. at the train station in Rákoshegy. He is a black, long haired setter-like male who is around 2 years old. There is bite injury on his nose. There weren’t any chip or other identity sign on him. He also had no collars.

Margit and her puppies (Barna (Brown) and Bence) were found in the 17th district at Bélatelepi Street next to the airport. Maybe they were unwanted for someone…
Margit was probably a dog, who lived outside in the garden because she stops by the doorstep. Inside the house she keeps everything clean. She can walk on a leash but she is a bit droll. She has an opinion about everything!

Barna and Bence will probably be middle breed, long haired dogs.

Bankó was found on 22 September 2012 in Pesterzsébet (the 20th district). He is a 3 year-old beagle. He had neither a chip nor a collar. There are some signs of an old injury on his head.

Semperit was found on 23. September 2012 in Dunaharaszti on the road to Alsónémedi. He was sitting on a waste heap made of tires that’s how he got his name. More than 300 tickles were taken out from him. He had neither a chip nor a collar.

This week a Common buzzard (Buteo buteo) has arrived with broken wings. He didn’t really like the examination but our vets should do it.
After the examination we sent him to the Bird hospital in Hortobágy. There he is going to be rehabilitated by experts. We hope that later he can be free again.

The fly in the jointment, that some new hosts turned up as well. Six dogs have found new homes.

Tiramisu and Faust have just checked in from their temporary hosts, where they are still waiting for the real hosts:
“Everyone is wondering around us on the streets. They believe that we are brothers and sisters because we get on well. Both of us love eating and playing.
Many things are in common, but the biggest difference is our size. 
We are trying to keep the house clean and try to get on well with other dogs which we really enjoy.:-) Both of us are perfect. Sometimes we are naughty but which puppy does it in another way?  Here is a picture of us. Bye!”

Our pony, Menthol also got a package (it seems this week is about packages). We found a special knotted halter just for him. Thanks for this beautiful present for Sibugranada.

This week we also got two big packages from a courier. The boxes were full with food for dogs and cats, accessories, special foods and detergents. A letter was attached to it with two beautiful quotes. Many thanks for our kind donator!

In the frame of the European Mobility Week a Car Free day was held by the Local government of Rákosmente on 22nd September at the road junction of Pesti road and Ferihegyi road. There were many interesting programs for example our pet petting show. Many people were interested in it; the place was a bit crowded all day. We were happy that you visited us!

In Lakáskultúra (Interior Design Magazine) from September you can see an article with our protégées in their habitual environment and in some special environment as well. In the magazine you can find Pokolgép, Suzy the deer, Bruce Willis, the cat: Cafrang, some rabbits, raccoon cubs and we cannot miss TóthOttó.

Join us on the Procession of The world Day of Animals!
The traditional Procession of The world Day of Animals is organized by the Magyar Állatvédő és Természetbarát Szövetség (The Alliance of Animal Protection and Friends of Nature) on Sunday, 7th October. NOÉ Pet home is going to be there with a big group as traditionally and we are going to take care of your security.

The meeting starts at 10 a.m. in the car park next to Saint Stephen Basilica (5th district). The procession will take place on Andrássy Avenue to Heroes Square as usually.

And one more important fact: the first load of hay for our horses has arrived.
We still need some foil, canvas or some other material with which we can cover the hay for winter. Every idea is welcome!
