Since summer holiday ends many-many new hosts have arrived to the gate of NOÉ Pet home. Let’s see some among the lucky dogs:
Rotor found a new home in Germany. He feels well. He has immediately found a new friend, the old dog in the family. He also gets on well with the cat. At the beginning he started to hunt for the chickens but later on he understood that it’s forbidden. He is sleeping next to the legs of the hosts. He was trying to sleep in the bed as well, but he was dissuaded.
Hilda Halász spent a year with us, but in the end she has found a new host in the person of a young guy. He came to our place to get to know Hilda better and h took her for a walk regularly until he could take her home. Have a joyful life dear girl!
Mia, our German Sheppard has also found a new home this week. She has moved to countryside to live together with Piaci Puttony.
Many of you asked how is Srce. We got great news about him. He could leave the hospital because his status is stabilized and he went to the new hosts as soon as it possible was. He was blind contemporary because of meningitis. Srce or now he is called Beni became a little bit disabled because his moves are uncoordinated. But he seems to getting better continusly so it’s not excluded to be totally healthy again. We got this picture from Beni’s new family. Thank you for adopting this cute dog who can get the needed healing and taking care from you!

Our new dogs:
Absinthe is a 1.5 year old wire-haired mixed male. The whole story he came to our place: someone came in and wanted to give him to us. We were searching for a chip (unfortunately we hadn’t found one), but we couldn’t adopt him because the lack of space. He was found in the forest between Isaszeg and Pécel but they didn’t want to make out the whole process of finding new hosts. As we couldn’t adopt him, they let him on the street in front of our shelter. Luckily Absinthe wanted to come in our gate and he hadn’t run away to the motorway (M0) or to another busy road. Absinthe is kind, droll dog. Now we are searching just for his original hosts.
Szép Heléna: We got a police inquiry that there is a beaten dog on Egyetem tér. Until we arrived there the police took care of the dog. The dog was apathetic, it was full of wounds and she didn’t use her hind legs. Szép Heléna was known for the eyewitness. She usually supervised the nightlife with her original host. But one night her host was disappeared. Since then a friend took care of her. Once the friend beat her and left. Maybe he was afraid of the future. Szép Heléna needs more examination. Her offender is under investigation. Until it doesn’t end she cannot be adopted.
Uncle Dénes was found in the 15th district in Rákos-patak. He is an old, black mixed dog. Firstly he couldn’t stand on his feet. Later he picked up and he is stumbling. He has no injury. His condition can be because of his age. We would like to find his ORIGINAL HOST!
Szeles was possibly a victim of a dog fight. Because of his injuries and the huge amount of blood loss, he was shocked and he got a pneumothorax. He was lucky because he could reach a house were animal friends are living. They were the ones who were helping to Hófehérke (Snow white) a few months ago. They hesitated not too much and went to our vet immediately. His life was on strings but our doctors (dr. Boda and his team) made a miracle again. You can see on the picture below how dangerous this injury was. There is a more than 30 cm long cut on the body of this poor dog.
Elba is a 3.5 months old, spotty female. She was found in Kispest. Maybe a car ran over her. Her elbow was broken so she had to be operated. She is over the operation now and she seems to be a happy puppy. We started her vaccination program.
Heuréka and Google were found on Péceli Street. They were running among cars desperately. They were extremely shy at the beginning, but now they are more opened. Their temporary host thinks they can be fox terrier mixes, because sometimes they are acting like “hamsters”. They might be small breed dogs. So you can adopt them if you are living in a flat or if you have a garden you let them into the house to sleep.
The tagLiFE ear tags for cats and dogs helps a lot for our pets to get back to their new home with such a tag, which has a QR code since 16th September. This pattern got the most votes on a contest on the internet. So the adopted dogs are going to get this.
A video shot was taken on Carmen a horse from the rescue group.
Carmen is a young grey horse with shagya arab parents. She came to the shelter in May 2011. Her original host gave her to us, because her right tarsal was broken during a fell off. The original host hadn’t got enough money for an operation so Carmen was healed by a conservative way. It got better soon, but Carmen got artrhosis. This means she had inflammation by her joints. Her host thought not to keep her because she cannot be ridden anymore. Her doctor, Dr. Zoltán Kerekes asked our help, because he didn’t want this cooperative horse to die in the slaughterhouse.
We had though times. There were some minutes when it wasn’t sure that Carmen would walk without any pain. She spent most of her days in the stall. Sometimes she was better, sometimes not. The breakthrough was the Shockwave therapy. The healing process went faster. Carmen started to walk a few minutes every day on our courtyard. In the end it was 2 times 20 minutes daily. Soon she could get out to the corral and then to the pasture. And what has happened then? Let’s see the video below!
Comment: after the pictures with spinach we got many offers for some extra spinach but it hasn’t arrived! But we love it!
On Saturday we organized a “Let’s move!” family running and 7 points cycling day together with Ilex Gardening Company. We love this event since many years. The organizing is excellent and the mood is good for families. It was a great Saturday. Many people visited us.
Children were competing with each other on who can collect more grass for the sheep, Bibi and the goat, Windows on the meadow.
And they also were throwing the ball to Frutta, who was restless.
The whole income was offered for NOÉ Pet home. Thank you! We will be here again next year!

Upsetting, unbelievable …..but true! This video was made on an island in the Pacific Ocean where the only habitat is for birds and this is 3200 km far from any other land…
