Dog log 20.06.2011-26.06.2011.
2011.06.27.
This week we had been honoured by the invitation of the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture. Therefore, we could participate in the Night of Museums for the first time.
Fulfilling our duty, we appeared at our place at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
As soon as we arrived, visitors kept coming and loving and caring for our protégés:
As usual, Sziszi (the grass snake) and Azil (the fox) were in the centre of attention.
As time went on, more and more people arrived.
The whole report with photos can be found HIER!
Some new geese arrived and they started to feel comfortable in the farmyard right away.
Crowley, our dog became a healthy and funny dog thanks to its temporary family. Within some days he will undergo neutering and the implantation from his leg will be taken out. So the dream dog is waiting for his dream owner absolutely healthy.
We went on the four-month X-ray on Monday afternoon. Everything was fine, he was examined and made to move but he was so scared because he had recognized the place. He got quite hysterical at the X-ray! We made an appointment for the neutering on Friday morning and we can take him home on Friday night. I am very worried but hopefully everything will be fine. I will write how things went.
Anyway, everything is fine, the little boy is very funny, and we laugh at him a lot. During the last couple of weeks he became very nice and cuddles up to us when he is not active and his relationship with other dogs is getting better. On Sunday we went again to the Hármashatár hill which was a great challenge for him. He sometimes became upset with other doggies but he could walk wonderfully without leash. When I called his name, sometimes he was unable to decide to obey or not because there were so many things to look at and sniff but in the end he always obeyed. They were running a lot with my friend’s vizsla so in the evening he had no energy to eat carrots. He was snoring all night lying on his back. In the field where we go for a walk every afternoon, the grass has just been mowed so all dogs dig and so does him, so his leg is getting stronger.
He walks on leash more and more beautifully, although at the beginning of walking he runs crazily. Although he understands what I want, he is always in a hurry so no time for walking calmly. I think he can be taught to anything with food. He obeys to ‘sit’ and ‘lie’ with the carrot; he understands everything in a very short time.
We also received some news about our previous protégés.
Hopefully everybody remembers who Pamela (her other name is Buborék) is. This very sweet water headed boxer girl who has had been a favourite in the farmyard for a very long time. We can still hardly believe that she lives in a family.
She also sent a letter with pictures to her huge number of fans.
Hello Everybody!
I am Pamela the very sweet and lovely boxer girl…
Do you remember me? You are right; I have not sent you a letter for a long time…but let me say that I am absolutely fine!
The reason for not writing to you: my new little owner had a small private life crisis which is still on but since she is a survival type she got herself together and goes on.
But there is good news as well. We moved into a house with a garden and it turned out that my owner not only has a little vizsla doggie but two others as well. Consequently there are four of us who own and guard the house. (Sorry, I left out the 7 cats who I also love very much!)
I am sending some pictures of them as well for you to see the situation.
I feel extremely fine, my owner takes care of me very much and she said that she loved me and she would never leave me. My big problem was potty training…
You know, when my owner is at home, there is no accident or extremely rarely. I spend much time outside but in extreme heat I have a rest in the cool house because I always walk in the sunshine and my owner does not want me to get a touch of the sun.
When my owner works I am in the house with my vizsla friend. We guard inside and my two other buddies (Barni and Bobby) help outside.
I run and play with the others a lot in the garden. Interestingly, I do not really like walking because I get tired soon, but I play and run enough in the garden.
Give my kisses to everybody and I will write soon.
PAMELA
Vadóc from Vadas family also started to write a diary; hopefully we will often receive notes with pictures.
Vadóc’s diary:
Today is an important day of my life. A boy and his mom arrived and took me home from Noé Animal Shelter. They promised me to have a real home and friends and they will love me forever. I am about a three month old male dog. We were thrown out with my four siblings in a box when we were very little.
Here I have a huge house with a renter on its top whose name is Nyafi. It is a very old tabby cat and we have already sniffed each other. But the most interesting is Rex, the other dog. He is always with me, keeps sniffing me and keeps his eyes on me. We got presents but mine, this yellow tweeting stuff is more beautiful, I take care of it very much.
We also received delicious food. People are around here to be taken care of. They stroke us a lot, keep talking to us and they want to make friends with us.
The other cat is not friendly, it is quite aggressive. I have not met the third cat yet. I hope I found my real home and these people will love me.
I will write you soon and send some pictures.

The first part of Rudi dog’s life became quite adventureous but finally everything turned out to be fine:
Dear Noé,
We adopted Rudi from you in April..
He feels fine with us.
At the moment we are on holiday in Abaliget.
We got to love each other very much; he is a very clever and kind dog.
