It might be needless to say that the flow of puppies has not stopped at all. They came with their mom, came in boxes, or all alone. We have met many helpless animals again, and unfortunately we also have some bad news.
The three puppy brothers Huba, Hunor and Hucul arrived to Noé together. They are about 8 months old Schnauzer mixed breed male puppies. Hunor and Huba are very friendly, initiator dogs who love humans. Hucul is a bit shy, he needs more time to cheer up. They get along well with dogs.
The most friendly puppy only spent a few days in the Animal shelter, his new family already found him, so Hunor is now a family dog.
Maki is 8-10 years old male dog, who arrived to us in extremely bad condition. Behind the white-silver hair his body suffers from maggots. His life was saved by quick medical help and immediate surgery. Both of his eyes had to be removed. Unfortunately his general condition is still rather poor, he needs daily medical treatment. He does not communicate with humans or dogs, we do not know whether this is result of the suffered trauma (about which we only have ideas) or because in addition to his blindness he is also deaf. For Maki it would be extremely important to find an Angel who with its love and undivided attention and care would heal his physical and psychological wounds. We know that this is not easy in his age and with his disabilities, but still we hope for it.
His treatment is very expensive, therefore if there is anyone who is able to support him, please do so. Please indicate „Maki” in the notes section.

You may also support Maki via virtual adoption, just like any of our animal.
Momo is a 3-4 years old pug-dog – Pekingese female dog. She was hobbling close to the construction area at Kőbánya-Kispest and asked for help from those waiting at the bus stop. The reasons for her serious hobbling are being detected. She is a friendly, startled, pet-dog type girl.
Pannika is approximately 1.5 years old Staffordshire terrier mixed breed female dog. We found her in Korsó street, on the way to the Animal shelter. She needed immediate medical assistance because she was full of external and internal parasites and had other medical problems, too. She is an unimaginably nice, adaptive, smart dog. She adores humans, but also gets along with dogs without problems.
Pityu is about 1 year old Pekingese mixed breed male dog. He was found in the 17th district at the corner of Naplás and Diadal streets.
We hope that his original owner will call, as he is a visibly cared for, newly sheared and bathed pet-dog. He is fully house-trained.
Kumisz is a young, 1-2 years old tiny white furball. His previous owners thought that it would be best to leave him on the road leading to the Animal shelter, obviously because they knew that we would take care of him.
His fur was in terrible condition and he was very very scared. We needed two days to catch him. He was probably dumped out of a car because he watched each car wistfully. We kept guessing about who/what he might be. Because of his huge compiled fur many of us guessed he was Westie, then after shearing it turned out that those guessing at Bolognese won.
Under his badly compiled fur flies had already blown him, he could hardly move, thus the first and outmost task was immediate and full shearing. He is still shy, but gets better every day, he has started to trust his caretakers, and though he still freezes of each touch, now he knows that being in someone’s lap is a good thing.
And the puppies:
Legény is a tiny, really a mouthful puppy, who may be 5-6 weeks old. This defenceless piccaninny was found in the 10th district in Legényrózsa street.
The two puppies of the Kapu (Gate) family, Tekla and Turbó were „left” at the gate of the Aminal shelter in a box.
It is mere luck that we found them in time, and they were not hurt by others or drowned in a sudden storm. We may say, of course, that fortunately the kind owner did not kill them, but there is no excuse for this irresponsible act. The two puppies, which will probably be large dogs, are about 8 weeks old right now. Tekla Turbó
With regard to the fact that we do not have puppy quarantine their placement was a challenge. For our desperate call for help an Angel appeared almost immediately and undertook to temporarily care for these two sweeties. Moreover, as supplement the Angel also received Centi, who had lived in the office since last week in a cage, in lack of a better solution. Thank you very much!
Zétény is a black, maybe Schnauzer type male puppy. We do not know how and where from, but suddenly he appeared in the garden of a house. His right eye is in bad condition. He is under medical treatment.
We received a phone call that at the construction area in Kőbány-Kispest some old houses in bad condition were being demolished. The inhabitants had moved out but someone, moreover, someones stayed. Our team found two mother dogs, Lepke mom and Pillangó mom there with 6 puppies that are about 7-8 weeks old. They became the Köki family (after Kőbánya-Kispest). It is not clear which puppy belongs to whom, but they form a complete family this way.
Both moms are very skinny, sociopathic and scared. We hope that care and love will produce quick results also in their case and they will be happy and balanced members of a family

We expect the application of exclusively responsible owners who are aware of what caretaking for a puppy requires. We started their vaccination program, the completion of which will be the task of the future owner. They also have chips. We give them away with vaccination and spaying obligation.
We must stress over and over again that we do not have space, especially not for unvaccinated puppies. Placing them to the gates of the Animal shelter is not a solution. This way the owner did not act responsibly, did not solve the problem just put it onto our shoulder. This time we managed to solve the problem, but practically we are unable to place another puppy.
Kömény found a new owner this week, he did not enjoy our hospitality for long.
Pryus, about who it turned out in these stormy times that he is afraid of thunder and lightning. In his new family it will not be a problem, he will climb under the blanket
Vándor from the Vadas family.
We are very happy for Március, who is not young and had several surgeries. In such times we regain our hope that in fact everyone will get their dream owner.
Szökevény was found by his original dog. He returned home with a chip, of course.
Also Edward – for us just Tirpák – found a family. We cross our fingers for him, because we got to love him very much because he adores humans, and also because he had been through an unsuccessful adoption already. It was not his fault, he was a dream dog, but his little owner got allergy for dog fur. We hope that this time everything will be all right! We received the first photos and news. Here are some pictures of our newest family member, Norton (Edward, aka Tirpák). The photos were made on the second day of adoption during a walk along the Danube and the well-earned rest after it. He behaves very well, it seems that he has a good time with us and gets more and more relaxed as time goes by. He enjoys the daily four walks, keeps sniffing, running around, if he gets tired he lays down on his belly. Eating is a bit more problematic because despite his physique he is a picker. We are working on the solution.:)
Unfortunately we also have bad news. A member of our pensioner club, Buksi has walked through the rainbow bridge. Also our Jade dog is playing on the rainbow bridge already, he was found dead in his house one morning. Let you be healthy, happy and young dogs there, beyond the rainbow bridge!
