Five dogs were rescued from the flood were temporarily taken into our care from Hajógyár island. 3 dogs from the small rescued team were returned to their owners, but 2 dogs (Döbrögi and Bumszli) remained in our care due to their poor health. Their owner gave them up for the sake of recovery.

Of the two well-adjusted pairs, the female, Bumszli, who is no longer a teenager, is a large mixed breed born in March 2013. She had several tumors on her body, one of which she has already got rid of, but she will need further operations.


Bumszli is a very friendly, inquisitive dog used to people. So far in her life, she has not lived in a palace, but she has received love, which shows in her. We really want her to finally have her own garden or sofa after her recovery. In her case, we do not insist on keeping her indoors only, but she would definitely like to experience what it's like to watch family TV together or even be a part of a birthday party held for her in the warmth of the home.


Bumszli, vaccinated, neutered, can be adopted as a family member with a negative heartworm test.
