Five dogs were rescued from the flood were temporarily taken into our care from Hajógyár island. 3 dogs from the small rescued team were returned to their owners, but 2 dogs (Döbrögi and Bumszli) remained in our care due to their poor health. Their owner gave them up for the sake of recovery.

The male, Döbrögi, born in April 2017, is a large-bodied mix of the two well-adjusted pairs. His eyes are inflamed, he has little fur, and he has several tumors. His medical treatment will take a long time, he will probably have more surgeries.

Döbrögi is a very friendly, inquisitive dog used to people. So far in his life, he has not lived in a palace, but he has received love, which shows in him. We really want him to finally have his own garden or sofa after his recovery. In his case, we do not insist on keeping him indoors only, but he would definitely like to experience what it's like to watch family TV together or even be a part of a birthday party held for him in the warmth of the home.


Döbrögi, vaccinated, neutered, can be adopted as a family member with a negative heartworm test.
