This young male dog collapsed in the afternoon of 24.04.2022 in Nógrádmegyer. He had huge, deep, infected, lacerated cuts - probably from bites - on the lower part of his neck, chest and left leg. Immediately organised and arrived that evening in the care of the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation, of course immediately taken to hospital.
He had a high fever, was covered in ticks in addition to his injuries, unfortunately his urine was already darker than normal, he was dehydrated and his wounds were dirty and festering. He was given tetanus serum as a preventative, babesia treatment for the ticks, infusions and of course his wounds were treated several times a day. His left foreleg was very, very painful, and he had a multi-directional X-ray and a targeted ultrasound. Fortunately, no bone lesions were visible, but a huge abscess was found in the muscle tissue from which 1.5 litres of pus was aspirated.
He was in hospital for a long time, his life was hanging by a thread. For a few weeks now, he has been recovering in the hospital ward of the NOÉ Animal Shelter. He still needs daily treatments and dressings, and is missing several kilos, but he is much better now!
After Megyer's recovery, vaccinations and neutering, we are looking for an owner who can forget all the bad things he has experienced in his life and prove to him that life is beautiful and he is a loving companion. We are only looking for a home where he can be a full member of the family. He can't be adopted just as a garden dog.
Megyer is vaccinated, chipped and can be adopted after neutering.
