The Animal Protection Guard Service of the Metropolitan Municipal Police Directorate (Illatos út) asked for our help for this tiny doggy in a terrible condition, weighing only 2.5kg. This is how Holle came to be in the care of the Noah's Animal Shelter Foundation. She has passed the first tests and it is hard to list the problems they found:
- Her skin was inflamed, flushed and bald on most of her body
- no teeth (sorry, there is one...)
- coarse heart murmur, mitral valve degeneration
- right kidney is smaller, probably that side is no longer functioning
- probably female and thus the "inevitable" mammary tumour is naturally present
- chest X-ray is clear but shows a suspicious pattern at the heart base
... but at least her labs came back pretty good. And for all that, she's about a thousand and one, but she's certainly 12+, sweet old thing... We don't know anything about her background, just that she was found in the 8th district in this condition 😭💔😡

Still some more scans and tests to go, treatments, immune boosting roborization and soon everything needs to be checked, so there will be plenty more to do with her.

She is not yet adoptable, but after her recovery we are looking for an owner who can forget all the bad things she has experienced in her life and prove to her that life is beautiful and she is a lovable companion. We are only looking for a home where she can be a full member of the family. We hope that the Angel who has been waiting for her will come and give her all that she may not have had before, a safe home and love worthy of a dog, a family member.
