We have received a call from the Foundation of Animal Protection in Füzesabony. In the last 2 days he is the 3 dog who came into our care in serious condition and they are all getting the best care possible.
Shot arrived at the Délpesti Állatgyógyászati Központ és Sebészeti Centrum Clinic after 8 pm and his treatment started right away by Dr. Beáta Orbán. He is malnourished, full of fleas and ticks. The bullet entered his head right below his left ear and exited through his eyes. Most of the pellets have left his head but he still has some inside. He lost his eyes and he was given a tetanus serum to avoid more problems. He also was given painkillers and other necessary medications. He was showing signs of nervous system problems like dizziness and titubation which mostly dissapeared by the next morning. Next morning our miracle worker Dr. Boda has examined him and decided to operate him right away. He removed the injured eye and tried to remove the remaining pellets. He is in the best of hands. Unfortunately with these kind of injuries it is hard to guess the outcome but we are hopeful.
His condition has allowed him to leave the Clinic and continue his recuperation in our hospital ward in the animal home. He is a very sweet, friendly and cuddly dog.
After he heals he will be vaccinated, neutered and only then he will be up for adoption. We will look for a family for him where he will be loved for as long as he lives and where he will be treated as a full member.
