Zolika, a thousand and plus some years old, terribly thin, dehydrated and has babesia. He came from the city pound in Miskolc.
We received a call from volunteer workers from the city pound about a very old, blind, thin dog who has blood in his pee. He received primary care at the pound but they couldn’t give him more. Of course we couldn’t say no and half a day later he arrived at our animal home. We took him to our vet where he was examined and received treatment immediately. It is really hard to look at his really thin body and to see as the skin sticks to the bone. He also has stomach pain, which usually doesn’t mean any good. We are waiting for the lab result and we are keeping our fingers crossed.
We gave him the name Zolika because on the International Women’s day we also celebrate the name Zolika according to the hungarian calendar. He is a real charmer because even though he is in bad condition he wags his tail for every nice person and he looks at people with love and trust.

After he heals he will be castrated and vaccinated and then can be adopted. He can't be adopted just as a garden dog. We are looking for a family where he can be a full member and where he will be loved for as long as he lives. He suffered so much already!
