Meili is a young brown shar pei like female dog who came to our animal home with serious injuries.

The Kutyabarát és Állatvédő Civil Association reached out to us about an injured dog who needs help immediately. The dog has been roaming around in Túrkeve for the last 3 months and a couple of days ago she was injured somehow and now a big part of skin is missing on her side and her flesh can be seen.
There was no doubt that we wanted to help ASAP but the dog was running around in the streets of Túrkeve, she was shy and sometimes she was not seen for days. Our only chance was to contact the local pound and ask them to help us out. Luck was on our side because they helped and caught Meili the next day.

At first she was shy and mistrustful but we were not surprised. Although if you talk to her nicely she starts to wag her tail. Her injury looks like she was skinned. Maybe she had an accident but animal cruelty is also a possible cause for her wound. She had luck because the wound wasn't blown by flies and it didn't get infected.
She has pain but she is in good hands now and at our veet's clinic.

After her wound heals she will be chipped, neutered and then we will try to rehome her. She can't be adopted just as a garden dog. We are looking for a family where she can be a full member.
