Lajko’s life was adventurous but sad. He survived the mud disaster but his life hadn’t been happy before that. He was beaten and he was kept on a short chain. Believe it or not the mud disaster brought him the hope of a new life. When he was brought in he tried to avoid people and draw away from touch. The only way we could catch him was when we pressed him in a corner. The rehabilitation of his soul is being under process and he is doing well. When he sees someone he is coming closer and moving his tale. There is no need to press him in a corner anymore because if we get close to him slowly and touch him, he calms down and enjoys stroking. We don’t recommend him beside children because a sudden movement can scare him very much. But a company of an other dog can help his emotional development. We are looking for someone who can accept him on the way he is and can continue his rehabilitation.
He won’t ease quickly but with regular care it will happen. It requires lots of energy, attention and care but the end can be a perfect dog who walks nicely on a dog leadsh, who loves walking in mild breeze while his tounge is waving and his relationship with other dogs is very well. He would really need the dream owner who would fell in love with him and look out for him because the Animal Shelter doesn’t have enough capacity for his perfect rehabilitation. If he lives in a family his adaptation will be quicker and so he will become a perfect dog sooner.
