I started to write a review for the V. Cat Day, factually as it should be. Then I realized that I was feeling so great I couldn’t share this story without a personal touch. Who was there can testify that it was a super day, and who couldn’t be with us perhaps will be able to imagine how it was, afterall.

Here come the headlines:

1. My neck got burnt so the weather was great which is an absolute necessity for a spring-themed event. It’s true that they are still picking up the wind-blown papers after us in the 17th district but at least I got a super cool haircut at the end of the day.

2. With the remaining equipment we could create a cool creative corner for kids. Drawing, coloring, of course, everything cat-themed.

3. The cream on the Bravos frappé was so thick you could even turn it upside down, it wouldn't fall out. By the way it was incredibly delicious!

4. I had a hard time at the Monin lemonades, I could hardly decide which one is the finest, so I had to consume quite a lot for proper testing…

5. Speaking of creamy coffee and diet, if anyone got tempted to sin by the homemade cookies, why would I be an exception..?

6. Our limbs stiffed by the continuous lifting of cookies and coffee were loosened up by the hands of a professional massage therapist.

7. I looted a cat-themed t-shirt, finally we have the one basic truth out there: „I purr, therefore I am.” My collection was enriched with a wonderful hand-painted cat bowl.

8. Speaking of looting, I won kitten toys on the raffle!

9. Strictly just to get to use the kitten toys, I got temporary hold of two little gingers. Ping pong ball head, tennis ball tummy, violet eyes, melting away...

10. The ex-Noe winner of the raffle prize was also satisfied with the lineup. Fort he owners, naturally, he is the biggest prize.

11. And then there were the balloons. Those beautiful, colorful balloons, just thinking about them gets tears in my eyes. They carried small slips of paper all the way up to the clouds, on them the names and memories of our beloved, lost cats. Kincy said, ’Who loves a lot, loses a lot” and this, seeing all those balloons, sounded truer than ever.

12. A special balloon for a special girl, Lili Nyirati, who unfortunately we couldn't get to know in person but someone we are spiritually related with. (Lili was only 19 years old, when she passed away, and according to her last wish, instead of spendig money on flowers for her funeral, her friends and family should donate to to shelters)

13. We received many great presents for the velvetpaws, who would like to thank you very much.

+1. Our small team celebrated their 5th birthday with a wonderfulsuperyummy Mirr Murr cake. We thank Brigitta Holczer who donated the cake for us again this year.

It was a truly wonderful day. We thank you, thank the velvet paws idly bathing under the spring sun, and thank this great team. And of course, next year, same place, with you!
