Dear Angels,
My host mum said that I have to introduce myself and give some news about me. Well, my name is Maxi, I’m a young spayed boy. You can’t see it now but I’ll surely be a big cat. At least I’d like to be. I was on the news once when I got into the shelter. Since then many things have happened.
I had many injuries because I was hit by a car. After the hospital I was taken to temporary owners where there are two two-legged creatures and many hairy ones like me. They are all kinds: ill, healthy, small, big, four-legged and three-legged, girls and a boy. So when I got here I lived in a cage that was my accommodation. Everything was so strange because I had lived in the street before. First of all, I was happy that I was alive! It was also strange that I always have something to eat. I tried that I eat everything quickly and then food was there again. Later when I didn’t sleep so much, I noticed that one of the two-legged creatures provided me the food supply. It was also unusual for me that I had to pee and pooh in the same place and that it was made clean every day. Of course the two-legged provided it to me too.
Someone is doing something for me? Wow, that’s unbelievable! Actually, I like the TV a lot, however, a girl called Linda is screaming in it in the evenings here, but I like to watch it anyway. Last week I was taken to the doctor. I was really scared. When my host mum took me out of the carrying box I climbed up to her neck and if there had been a pocket there, I surely would have hidden in it. Fortunately, only the stitches were taken out of me and the doctor examined my jaws. He said that everything is fine and that he’d take out the wire in two months. Ouch, I’m already scared because this is man has such a deep voice and he’s so big that I’m shaking when I meet him…you know, I learned a lot in the streets and it’s so strange that the people don’t hurt me or hardly do and feed me and take care of me and love me and their hand pat me…I have to get used to it!
My host mum thinks that I’m a cutie. Well, I have no idea what it means but I love it when she talks to me in a thin voice. Anything could happen, I’m running to her then! First I was afraid of all the noises. The crack of the parquet, as people go past the window, when the door opens, the noise of the keys, but now I know these noises so I don’t hide under the bed or into the box (which provides safety) when I hear them. I get on well with other cats. OK, sometimes I’m mad at them and sometimes they’re mad at me but usually we chase each other happily. I love to play with the ball and the sock and actually anything that has a little fantasy in it. I like to lie in the bed or in the lap. They say that I’m a really kind cat… I don’t know what I’m like.
They talk a lot about „an owner”, I don’t know what it means but if it’s that I always have food, the litter box is always clean, they talk to me nicely, pet me, take responsibility for me, then I want it very very much!!!
