On 12th of May, the Third Cat Day was held in the Noah's Ark Animal Shelter. Months before we started to organize everything to have all in place for this day. Although weather forecast was not the best for Sunday, we were keeping the faith in warm and sunny weather. On Saturday, our volunteers finally prepared for the big day, they were cleaning the shelter to be ready, and they had a lot of fun meanwhile!







On Sunday, we arrived early in the morning with our volunteers. We still had a lot to do, but everybody had their job so things were smooth. The theme of the day was rockabilly, we have picked up all of our retro dresses and nostalgic music from like Elvis, Chuck Berry, etc. We were waiting for our quests with a lot of programme, and luckily we had a wonderful, warm weather all day!







Angel was always ready to help us preparing! :)



We put on fancy dresses. :)













At our Handmade Corner, our quests could enriched with hand made gifts in exchange for donations.



Our charity cookie sale was very successful through the last years, this year was so successful we couldn't even take pictures of our cookies in time due to the rush. :)

At our childrens corner all children and adults had a lot of fun. Our most popular game was discover plush animals with closed eyes, and find out which is which!







We had dart game as well.



And fishing, of course.



Evi, the shelter's permanent face painter was painting beautiful masks for the children.









We had henna painter as well, who was Emese Cséfán!





Provided by Sarkifény művek, we had a lot of cute pocket monsters and crochet pets to choose from for charity sale.

Finalists of the essay competitons were read and announced by Kinga, two of the lucky winners could receive their prizes right in the shelter.

Jani Vadon from Morning Show visited us and made friendship with our rescued cat Joker.



Welcome to Tamás Simon, writer of Alfi, who visited us again.



Our vet Dr. Attila Boda offered his help to answer questions from our guests.





Our rescued cats were able to adopt on pictures as well. :)







We were holding charity auctions by the help of Elvis aka Ákos Csizmadia, actor. Who was there and heard him already know how to conduct a charity auction, all we can say that we had real fun. :)













On our fancy dress contest we could admire our guests and volunteers costumes as well, jury's decision was that the winners are Timi and Meli.

We closed the day on a bit sad way as we commemorated about our rescues cats whom lives we could not save. Their names were written on papers and attached to balloons, and... we let them leave. It was a really touching moment for all of us.









All in all, it was a great day and everybody had a lot of fun. We would like to say thank you for all who celebrated with us this year and don't forget: see you next year again!
