We wish all MogLog readers Happy New Year! Naturally, despite the holidays, life did not stop at our place, since animals continuously need help. Some of them have been returned, and some new ones have come. With new energy, we are starting year 2012 with the support of our volunteers. And now let’s see our new velvet-pawed protégés.

Cicmók has been found very ill in the street. He has got pneumonia, and he is under treatment at the moment. he is a kind, nice cat. Because of his illness, he has been tested and unfortunately he has AIDS. He can be adopted as only, indoor cat. We are waiting for the dream owner.



Töki was left in our shelter; he is a very kind little tomcat. He spent a couple of days at the foster carer’s place and then found an owner :)



One of Blassi’s eyes had to be removed because of cat flu. The stitches have been removed, and she has perfectly adapted herself to the new situation, and her illness has completely gone. She is an active kitten, she runs and play a lot, and she needs lots of love. As soon as she is touches, she starts purring, if she is not being cuddled, she climbs up your trousers, because she just can’t have enough of patting. :). She is room-trained from the very first moment. She can eat a tremendous amount, and she is not choosy.



Dagi (Fatty) and his sister Bátor (Brave) were found next to a road, at the age of three months. Soon they were adopted. Now cat allergy was discovered in the owners’ family, and they have been returned to us. – Fatty already has an owner!

Hi! I am Fairy Mendy, the newest member of the Noah cat colony. ...I spent 4 days at the vet’s place, because I had an open fracture in my shin ( ouch!), but I have been operated on, and now there are some kind of panels in my leg, and they must be removed later, and I also have a big bandage, with which one can perfectly play golf…allegedly. I am brave and clever, I endured everything like a hero, and I am also willing to swallow medicine, I don’t object! If you want to support my recovery, you can adopt me virtually… And if you want a nice cat with glowing black design, take me home!



Maszatka is a tri-color girl, born in October, and she is simply an angel. Her favorite resting place is the shoulder of the master, she loves purring, she is addicted to humans, and she thinks the whole apartment is a big playground. She has been treated against internal and external parasites, and she can be adopted as an indoor cat.



Bolero was found in the street, had developed hypothermia, and she was in a decumbent state. She spent almost a week at the vet’s. She feels better now, but we keep her under medical surveillance, and gets renal support food because of some symptoms. She is a kind, cuddling cat.

Törcsi, who was found with a torn-off leg, which was not a fresh injury :(



He has been operated on and is very well.

and Vidor (Happy), who spent a year in the outdoor kennel. We have already received news about him:-

Vidor, the cat has arrived safe and sound at her temporary home, and making the best of his confusion we quickly gave him a bath, which he did not really like, but he was not aggressive. Since then he is been huddling up in the litter box, sometimes he comes out and makes a round in the apartment, but he goes back. He is a very benign; he is going to get relaxed gradually, since he will have a good time at my place.

Winter carers wanted!
We are looking for foster carers for our cats not liking cold weather for the WINTER PERIOD, from now on at least until the middle of March. We would like the cats that can be seen in the picture to be housed as indoor cats during the winter frosts! On top of them, many of our cats are “stuck”, and have been living in our shelter for a long time. They really want to spend Christmas at home. Here they are, maybe the dream owner will find them before the holidays.



We have received reports from the owners, which we thank them very much. It is very important for us, because seeing how nice, healthy cats our protégés have become is worth everything!

The kitty is doing fine, he is getting bigger and bigger sometimes I feel as if I was raising a panther :-)). We named him Parov (his nickname is Pikapea), he is 9 months old now, he has got many godparents apart from the owner. And grandparents, who love him as if he was theirs. he is a very musical cat, loves films and a real, living alarm clock, every morning after the alarm of the mobile phone he gives the owner a big slap int he face so that she should not idle for those ominous 5 minutes.:) He is a real fairy, whom we love very much.

The cat is doing great! She hates being alone, she always looks for a resting place where there is someone else. In the evening she gets playing fits, and she will run up and down in the house playing with everything. She likes eating very much. It has started to affect her figure, but during the day she spends a lot of time in the garden.

Dömper (Dumper)

Dear Noah,

It is Betty here; we are the ones who brought Dömpike home about two weeks ago, and I promised to let you know about us. Dömpi has a great time, he has already lost some kilos (unfortunately he does not let us weigh him, but he has obviously lost some weight). Dömpike has a play-mate, they like running together, chasing each other (yes, Dömpi CAN run… :))))) I would not have thought so, either!)… Thus he has not lost those couple of kilograms due to depression or shock!!!! Now we van pat him, and comb his hair, which I am very glad about, because of his back. He enjoys being combed very much, expressing his satisfaction with purring. Now he is given dietary dry food, but sometimes he gets a pouch to go with as well… (The vet said it is allowed because he does a lot of exercise). he moves around in the house as if it had always been his home. It is very funny when they run up and down all through the house with my other cat, while Dömpi is emitting interesting tweeting sounds, and his rings of fat are rocking… they re cute..:))))))

Imagine, for a couple of days he has had this habit of jumping into my lap and he is idling there, it is a very good feeling that he has got used to us so much though I can hardly hold him. He also watches TV with us, and it is quite funny, because literally he bumps us out from our places, he is sleeping spreading all his body.... (I have made photos of this..)

I would like to thank you for letting us have Dömpi as a member of our family. I am very grateful for him because we would be less without him :D

Cicamau is one of the confiscated cats who were rescued from horrible circumstances of an apartment in a block of flats in the 17th district. The cat that was ill and wild then, has become kind, cuddling and healthy.



And finally it has happened what we were looking forward to - the dream owner has found her :)

We introduce an old inmate of ours week by week, who is waiting for the dream master for more than a year. Maybe we can find them this way :) We would like to introduce Hapci (sneezy) this week.

Summary of year 2011
This year was the first complete year of our cat rescue Group. At the beginning of the year we had just some volunteers, now a nice number of enthusiastic cat-lovers help our work. Thank to them, this year 242 cats were adopted, unfortunately help was too late for 26 cats, or we lost them due to illness. At the moment we are looking after 70 cats. Unfortunately we have to limit the number of our cats because of financial reasons, bur injured or ill cats can still expect our help. Please, if you would like to give s a cat, be patient, we try to help but our capacity is finite, and Our goal in 2012 is to build a cat house in the other kennel, to make an operating quarantine room, and of course to rescue as many animals as possible and to find them owners.
