We have had busy weeks. The most important news is that due to our modest financial possibilities, we have to introduce a CATSTOP again. Our budget has been spent on the high number of injured cats we have had housed recently, and we cannot endanger the tending and care of our existing protégées.

The new cats were received before the introduction of the stop, but we managed to catch them after it; that is the reason why they appear here:


Orfeusz, Achilles and Kiara are siblings, they seem to be healthy, their socialization is under progress. – He has already been adopted!



We managed to catch their fourth sibling, Dáriusz as well as a result of a long serious of attempts. He is starting to get relaxed; there is a prospective owner for him. :)



Kyra was rescued from a stair-case, she is very beautiful and kind, she gets on well with other pets, she has adapted herself immediately to the temporary situation. - Adopted!



Rea was rescued from the street, she was very distrustful, at the beginning, but she is getting relaxed and opening towards her foster carer. She is looking for a patient master.



Zahara was dumped at the gate of the shelter; she is a beautiful little girl. Her digestion is not perfect, she is being checked up, and has been housed by a foster carer.



Marco was left in our shelter. The cat us beautiful, kind, but scared. There is something wrong with his hind legs. He is going to the vet’s at the beginning of next week. We hope it won’t be anything serious.



A bunch of news about our ill kitties:

Dömper has not got diabetes, he has organic diseases but he has to be spoiled with gourmet food for about a week, because he refuses to eat, and it may damage his liver, etc. If his appetite returns, we will put him on some dietary dry food. We are still looking for a foster carer for him, who can deal with him in a more personalized way.



Botond has been operated on, and is recovering at a foster carer’s.



The wound of Volvo looks like this now:



Boszi, although she is relatively fine physically, does not feel good confined in a cage. We are looking forward to a foster carer or a final owner who could provide company for this old cat.



Puding who is also an old cat, is cold in the kennel no matter how high quality the house is. He badly needs a temporary home, until someone falls in love with him for good.



Unfortunately our Mizu cat did not get on with the dog, thus he was brought back, but another angel has applied for him. Fortunately, because his little soul was shattered by this story. He could watch the song entitled ’Mizu’ in the talent show on Saturday in the lap of the new foster carer.

Hi there,


Mizu is a very good cat, etas everything, as soon as he can smell food, he comes! He walks very little, only when he comes to eat. I hope his mood will improve and will not be always so sad- He has slept the night through in the bathroom, it nice warm there. I went to look at him at around 5 a.m. and he hissed at me. :))) ‘Well’ I thought ‘you are fine!’. In the picture he is sleeping under the radiator, I put some blankets there for him. He is watching from there what I am doing. He has found the litter box, and uses it properly.:)

Whirpool Mummy who used to be quite wild when we housed her, has been completely tamed by now. She is a very nice cat, and can be adopted now.



Our old Dudi cat has moved to a foster carer’s, since he was very cold in the kennel. He is still very scared, but we hope he will get relaxed soon.

Habcsók (Meringue) arrived in a very bad condition, the vet discovered she was badly anemic and several of her organs were not in a good condition. Unfortunately later she gave up the fight and died :( Rest in peace, beauty!

Márvány (Marble)

Dear Noah Girls,

I thought I would drop you a few lines about myself, to let you know what has happened to me since I moved out of your place. First of all, those who took me away from you, changed my name from Márvány (Marble) to Tigris (Tiger). I do not want to offend you but I prefer Tiger, too. It is more masculine, isn’t it? But let’s not talk about masculinity!... That is the only thing I angry at my parents for. Because I think those who brought me home are my parents. It seems so. I live with my Daddy and Mummy. I get on well with my Daddy, too, for example I like biting his feet, and we can play more manly games with him, but the one I adore is my Mummy. I hardly leave her alone; I am always there where she is. But she keeps on sitting in my place; I have to edge her out from everywhere. Just imagine, I am so grown up now that I do not sleep with my Mummy anymore. I have my own bed! But at dawn I cuddle up to Mummy, and we wake up together in the morning. I think this is the most important thing for her, in the evening she usually grumps when I jump up to her bed to give her a kiss, and then I go to my own bed. But I have some problems with them. For example in the morning when they go away, I start to put the apartment in order. I put everything back to their place. But when my mummy comes home she re-organizes everything! I don’t know how to make her give it up, it is quite annoying that I, let’s say, clean a shelf with tiring work, then she just ruins everything.

Don’t you have any good tips for that? She can also drive me crazy when she thinks I will put on too much weight because I am lazy and I like eating. Then she comes with her stupid dietary food, and she makes me chase her. As a matter of fact, I like chasing, I always catch Mummy, but I am always so hungry afterwards! Anyway, have you ever eaten light cat food? If my mummy does not give me a supper-supplement, I have no other choice but to steal some. They do not know how I do it, because when they offer me some of the food they are eating, I pretend not liking it. But afterwards I pilfer everything! I like cheese the most, I often eat it out from the shopping bag, but I am not choosy at all at stealing. All in all, it is a good place for me, well, the temperature of the radiator is not always convenient, sometimes food contains two few calories, and my favorite ball has got stuck under the sofa, and I always have to clean up after my parents, but I am more or less satisfied with all the other things. I really do not want to offend you, because you are really nice, but I prefer living here with my mum and dad. I am sending some photos of me for you to see what a handsome, charming tomcat I have become, and I hope the incredibly beautiful marking and shine of my fur makes your hearts beat high.

Since lately several of our cats have been returned by foster carers or owners for some weird reasons, we decided to write a longer article on the peculiar habits of cats. We ask everybody to read it through, and decide responsibly whether you want to become a foster carer or owner of a cat. You can find the article here.

Cat of the week: Boszi

We introduce an old inmate of ours week by week, who is waiting for the dream master for more than a year. Maybe we can find them this way :) We would like to introduce Morgó (Grumpy) this week.

There is a shelf-system in the wooden house, already conquered by our cats.:)



A big day arrived on 11/11/2011: Alfi Mog, aiming at ruling the world, launched his first book! Alfi was represented by Szőri, that is Simon Tamás, his owner at the launch of the book entitled ‘Were-Cat’ and since their fans often give foil pouches of cat food as presents, these were generously donated to the protégés of Noah Cat Rescue. ) We hereby thank Alfi for the gift on behalf of the cats, many donations were collected and donations were gathered also in our charity-box on our little stand. At the end, everybody could have their copies autographed with personalized dedication, and we could make a photo of us with the author, that is, his representative :) You can buy the book in the webshop keverekkutya.hu as well, also supporting the velvet-pawed ones this way.









After the book launch our small team continued the evening in a bar, the pictures demonstrate the atmosphere. :)





Because ours is the most fantastic and creative team. :D



And we also received a letter from Alfi :)

On Saturday, 26th November two events will be held in the shelter: the Birthday of the Mini Shelter and the Day of Black Animals will be organized. Of course black cats will be present, and they can even be adopted on the spot. :)



One of our volunteers has collected cat-related literature. As a result, at the end of each MogLog you can read a poem on cats. Please welcome the first one, the topic of which matches our new article (mentioned above).
