Why don’t we want everyone to get rid of all the cats even today? Well, this is exactly why, we do not want to get rid of our rescued ones, we want to give them to responsible owners in order for us not to have to collect them again in a short while from the street or from under a car, from the paws of a dog or the hands of a cruel person, and we would not want to be informed about their early death either.

As cats are basically doing fine surviving without people, most of the times they get to rescuers when they get into trouble, since there are many dangers for them on the street with or without an owner as a cat that can go out. We would like to protect them from these dangers after their recovery by thoroughly studying the owner candidates’ and the cats’ future living situation in order to avoid surprises. Of course accidents, illnesses can occur with the biggest care, but we have to reduce the risks of what we can.
The visit and the talking prior to the visit serve the interests of both the future owner and the cat as here it may be found out whether the picked furry one fits into the life of its future family or maybe it would be better to choose a cat with a different behaviour.

If everything seems fine in theory, the personal meeting is inevitable, since here it still can turn out that despite all theoretical matches there is no common wave. This procedure protects not only the cat but the owner as well, as he will not get a lucky dip, we tell all the bad habits, illnesses, special demands of the cat, and based on that the options for adoption can be weighed as well.
With all this it still happens that an adopted protege is brought back to us within a short or long period of time as it is not possible to be prepared for everything in advance, but the number of such cases is minimal compared to the successful adoptions.
