MogLog 11/07/2011 – 31/07.2011
2011.08.01.
Here we are again. Though we had summer heat, and then autumn-like rainy weather, the Cat Rescue team did not have a rest. We saved a lot of cats, mainly kittens in the last 2 weeks. Among the adult ones thre were abused and injured ones as well. The volunteers of our cat department also held a meeting at the weekend, which ended in a cool sing-along party. But that comes later. First let’s see who joined our pet shelter.
Scarlett is a female moggy, had been on wait-list, found in the street. One of her eyes was injured, but it is being treated now. She has lost a lot of weight, but she is a very kind cat, likes to cuddle up. Spayed. – She has a prospective
Szürcsi must have fallen from somewhere, arrived at our shelter with an injured mouth and leg. It is a nice and sweet kitty. At the moment it is at a foster home. It has recovered and looking forward the dream master.
Dolli, Deni and és Gauss were left on the road to the shelter, in spite of all the tragedies happened lately. It took its toll this time, too, the fourth of the kittens was killed by a dog. We managed to catch three of them, for the present they are living at a foster home. In the meantime Gauss has been adopted by its foster parents :), Dolli has also found a master, but Deni is still waiting for its new family!

Shiro was found next to a wall, in the sun, and was crying badly. We could put it into a foster home. She is a nice kitty, a bit reserved now, but will calm down soon. Shiro can be adopted and is looking forward to the fur-ever master!
Zima and its littermate, Johari were rescued from the parking lot of a sports ground, they climbed into the under bonnet of cars. Fortunately they could have been taken out, there eyes were badly infected, and they were dehydrated because of the heat. They are already in a foster home and their treatment is under progress, and they can be adopted.

Mizu was rescued from an abandoned building in the 5th district of Budapest. For the present it is unknown whether its injuries were caused by an accident, a skin disease or abuse. There are open wounds on his head and neck, and they are not new. He must have been suffering from grave pains for a long time, and we found it on one of the hottest day of the year. It was completely dehydrated and lost a lot of weight. We took him to the vet’s first, whre he was treated, got some antibiotics as well. We hope that after all this suffering the dream-master will come for him soon. It is a very kind little tomcat, who loves cuddling up, and purring.
Armani is a beautiful tabby tomcat, around 5-months old. His belly is dotted, and wears white ’socks’. He is a bit like a Whiskas-cat. He likes cuddling and purring, gets on well with other cats, his initial shyness disappears soon, and he is fit as a fiddle! He is living at a foster home.
Macera, Mafi and Mészi were found in the street, and we managed to find a foster home for them. They have been looking for the dream master very much!

The 4 littermates, Tosca, Salsa, Chokito, and Nóni were found left alone, we managed to get them a foster home. Nóni and Salsa have already been adopted, and the others are also waiting for the dream master.

Salsa – adopted!
Chokito
Buddy and Holly were found in Maglód, next to main road 31, thrown out in a bag by some pet’s friends , they asked our help in their homing. We managed to find a shelter home for them.
Buddy - already adopted!
Holly
Pálma was taken to the vet with a dislocated hip, but since they were not able to pay for the operation, they wanted her to be put to sleep. The conscientious vet did not let them do this; that is how she got to our place. She has been operated on, and is recovering at her master’s place!
Trinity was found in a selective garbage bin by one of our volunteers, She is about 2 months old, with an exotic colour. She is healthy, nice and purring all the time. – Already adopted.
Lionel: The cat in the picture was announced a week ago, with the information that ’worms are coming out of it’. We told the announcer to take it to a vet, our advised was not taken. As a result Lionel got into such a state that yesterday we had to take him without delay. He has diarrhoea, which has already fretted his little buttocks, his ears are infected with mites, and fly larvae are coming and going in his little body. He has already treated by our vet, and is recovering in a foster home.
More news about Lionel from his temporary mum! :)
I think Lio is getting to resemble to a little hellfreakitty! He rumbles and tumbles all the way through the room, attacks everybody, and he is in a very-very good mood! After yesterday’s antibiotics shot he has got diarrhoea again, but it is nota s grave as it is used to be. The mites were completely eradicated from his ears, the cotton buds are scarcely dirty when his ears are cleaned. We are still fighting with the fleas, but I think we won’t have any problems. The poor thing had to go on a diet; he can eat rice and a bit of tinned food. Initially I was reluctant to give it to him, since I was afraid he would not eat it, but you should have seen him, wolfing even boiled rice!!!:):) Lionel is an unbelievably nice and cuddling kitten, hungry for love. He starts purring frantically at our sight! Not mentioning the morning and the evening routine. Any other cat would run out of the world if forced to endure being wiped with cotton pads twice a day, then the application of the cream, the cleaning of the ears, the ear drops and the paste into the mouth. And he enjoys it, purring all through the procedure. He has got a great will to live, and can be adopted soon.
Mazsola a 2-3 weeks old black kitten, she was very thin when was found by pet’s friends. We managed to find a foster home for her. Her eyes are infected, but are being treated.
Csacska was found in a garden, having lost a lot of weight, and in a bit shattered condition. Unfortunately he is just dragging his front left foot along (under). Csacska is being shy, but he is very nice, plays when no one is around. He is very thin, now we are working on making him gain some strength, and then an amputation will be performed, because his front right leg is almost completely inert. He is on medication at the moment, and being corroborated, and his foster masters are trying to make moving around in a flat easy for him, and to make him relax.
If you can contribute to the cost of the operation, transfer some to the bank account number 11710002- 20085016. Thank you.
Gili is a grey tabby tomcat around the age of 3 months. At the moment he is being treated with cat flue. He is an unbelievably tough, a real brave-heart. He purrs from the first moment (a little propeller or engine can be built in him) he cuddles, demonstrates no shyness or reservation. He was not embarrassed either by our two dogs or by my son. He comes and goes, follows me everywhere, jumps and climbs in everywhere, he is interested in everything. He comes when being called, and is room-trained. He badly needs the company of and the care by people, he loves sleeping in a lap, or just to being in a lap and purring. The whole little kitten is an adventurous love-bomb.
Csutka is 2-3 months old, tabby, tomcat. He had been on a wait list. He is living in a foster home now.
Rebeka and her brother Denzel were born in a garage. Since they could not stay there, we took them to a foster home after weaning. Bekka has a nice, real girlish character:) and Denzi is a tough, nosy guy, who also loves a cuddle.

We got a warning from the 8th district of Budapest that a woman was dragging a cat on a leash and then kicked it all over! The cat got loose and ran away. Several people tried to find it, and unfortunately the perpetrator disappeared. The cat was taken to the vet immediately; fortunately no serious harm was done to him. He is already in the animal shelter, recovering from its psychic and physical injuries. In spite of all the things that happened to him, he unconditionally trusts people and cuddles up. Főnix is an enormous tomcat thus if you like cats with a considerable size, do not hesitate to contact us!
Rambócska
Rambócska ran into a gym with an injured leg, bleeding. One of our volunteers goes there, and managed to catch the kitten, and took rushed to the vet with him. Eventually we managed to find a foster home for him. He is still a bit shy but thanked to the love and care he gets, he is opening up. His leg will recover; one of his claws was torn off.
Szatmári Lara és Lucifer
Our volunteers went to the 14th district on announcement. Among a lot of adult cats three kittens were found. All the three had very bad cat flue. Unfortunately help was too late for one of them. But these two survived the serious virus, and now they are waiting for their prospective masters in a foster home. They are vivid, playful and love each other very much! If Lara is whining, Lucifer gets there immediately to check it out.

News about Cinke kitty:
Cinke, strengthened by lots of vitamins and formula, was operated on 12th July. The relatively small hole in her palate was covered with the cat’s own mucous membrane and the bony hole was clenched with wires. Since then she has been able to eat without a syringe, what’s more, she wolfs more and more. It would have been hard to pull her through the first days without the supporters loving cats who gave tins of food and of course money for the operation. We thank them very much. She is still given blended, easy-to-swallow, nutritious food She received infusion twice and several injections, some antibiotics after the operation. The check up was not able to say whether a hole of the size of a pinpoint would remain between the nasal and the oscular cavity or not. She has a slight, but permanent nose-bleeding. She has to taken to the vet for a check-up on a weekly basis. Although she lost her hearing because of her untreated ear-mites, she has started to play and to get into mischief. She purrs a lot, and likes sitting in a lap, and in spite of the facts that she must be ground with ear-buds, eye drops and corroborants. , She is becoming a very grateful and beautiful cat – but she should recover first!
Melon has moved to a foster home, and become an indoor cat. :) The only thing she needs is a dream-master!
Naturally we have received news and photos as well:
We have received a picture of Audrey:)
Our blind cat Flóra at home:
Dolli
Dear Noah, Thank you for your inquiry, we got home safe and sound, dolly is just fine. She was more careful at the beginning, and hid in the children’s room, but she got more and more curious, and left to discover the house. She made friends with our other cat, they sniffed at each other and then started to play. The children have also fallen in love with both newcomers; they pat and treat them nicely. I attach some pictures of the romp after dinner. Thank you for your help. Regards,

Hi,
Pocak is cute, I am his ’mom’, because if I sit down, he always manages to sit next to me somehow no matter where I am. He must come to the bathroom after me.:) He likes hunting, the other day he was watching a fly from the ground for about two hours, and then caught it while flying. He has already got a ball, which he kicks as a professional, a lot of footballers could learn from him. The best part is when he shepherds it under the bed and I have to get it out. His favourite activity is cleaning, he has got a tiger, which he usually thrashes, but the other day he stole a big onion from the bag and peeled it (holds in the front legs, and peels with the back ones…). Sometimes he also peels an occasional potato, depending what I need the peeling of:):):) He is extremely talkative, is whining all the time, always in a different tone. Alarm-time is around half past five in the mornings, dear Pocak has already dismantled the cover of the door of the room, because he is bored int he morning (that is, at dawn), though he has been sleeping in our bed for a couple of days, that is climbs me several times a night, poking me with his whiskers, purring into my ears, but he sleeps at my feet, anyway. I don’t know how to make him sleep in his little bed, and not make noise at the break of day, including the weekends as well of course. But his cuteness compensates for everything:) Virág, my daughter adores him, taking him everywhere, and Pocak lets himself… ’Pocak, it’s bedtime now’, ’Pocak, let’s get up and play’ and she cuddles him. That all in short:)
Have a nice day! Orsi
