Hopefully everybody remembers who Pamela (her other name is Buborék) is. This very sweet water headed boxer girl who had been a favourite in the farmyard for a very long time. We can still hardly believe that she lives in a family.
She also sent a letter with pictures to her huge number of fans.

We had a real happy end this week. Our dog Karcsi, who is an old vizsla (Pointing dog) Don Juan was found by his original owner. Despite the good news Karcsi reacted to the view of the extremely happy owner like the student who just retuned from a camp, happy to see his parents but wanting to stay with the friends at the places of parties and loves.

It might be needless to say that the flow of puppies has not stopped at all. They came with their mom, came in boxes, or all alone. We have met many helpless animals again, and unfortunately we also have some bad news.

If anytime, then surely on this week we can say it is puppy season! Newer and newer little ones keep coming. Our quarantine spaces are full, we are puzzling our brains what to do, but in the end something always happens. But how long? They are in danger... unvaccinated... parvovirus swept over in the animal shelter in the last puppy season. No way can the virus be extirpated in such a short period.

Sometimes dogs in need of urgent help just keep flowing into the Shelter. We were not lacking usual, heartbreaking and eye-watering stories … unfortunately.

Unfortunately another old friend departed this week... Szivar (Cigar) the 15 year-old racoon crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Be happy and healthy on the other side, old friend, and have fun with your pal, Monty!

In the second week of January we had a surprisingly warm weather. This is good news as our residents are not cold any more, but of course, the warming brought water and the inevitable mud. There is mud on the road that leads to the shelter, mud in the kennels, and you can’t see a single white animal at the moment...
