Szalag came from a small village called Berettyóújfalú where she was ran over and then left to her own devices. Her femure and her shin broke. Her ligaments and nerves also tore and since she didn't get any immediate help so her wounds got infected and the nerves shrunk. She was very weak and had fever when she was found. She was taken to the Juhász Small Animal Clinic in the middle of the night. The easiest solution would have been to amputate the leg but our vet Dr. Juhász Tamás decided to fight for the leg and he operated on her. As you can see on the picture the good doctor had put her leg together. Szalag will be staying at the clinic for a long time because she needs to be observed and she is still receiving treatment. She had stood up carefully and she started to put down her leg as well. Because of the serious infection we can't ease up but we are hopeful and we are keeping our fingers crossed.
After she heals she will be neutered, chipped, vaccinated and then she will be up for adoption.
